Easter is almost here! In just a few days churches all across this nation and world, will be celebrating the risen savior!! UP Church is one of many awesome churches that will make Easter Sunday a place of celebration. We will do it UP Church style! With great Latin Music and wonderful fellowship before, during and after our worship gathering. Easter is the ONE day where people are naturally inclined to peak-in and see what the church is up to, and they might be more likely to say yes. So here are 5 reasons why you should invite someone to Easter Sunday: 1. Do it because they are more than likely to say yes: According to a survey done by Thom Rainer, 96% of those who don’t attend church would agree to go to a service if invited. More Americans search for a church to attend on Easter Sunday than any other day of the year besides Christmas. Really, what’s the worst that could happen? 2. Do it because the gospel will be clearly explained: There's nothing better in this whole wide world, than HOPE. That is what we will be talking about this Sunday. The message of the Gospel will be clearly explained and offered through every element of our worship experience. And true to our form, we will push HOPE because no one can survive this world without it... The hope of our resurrected Savior! 3. Do it because you care. We all have people in our lives that we care deeply about. God might use your invitation to church as the place where the seed of hope is planted in someone's life. Or it might be the place where your friend, family member, or neighbor's life is totally impacted and changed forever. Whatever may be the case, stepping in faith amidst rejection is totally worth it. The benefit outweighs the risk! 4. Do it because God said so. "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching” (Hebrews 10:24). Only 2% of those who regularly attend church invite someone to go with them. (source: Thom Rainer) 5. Do it because someone's life could be changed for eternity. If we were to take away the Latin Worship experience, the fellowship (coffee & donuts: God forbid!), the kids program & Easter egg hunt, the bottom line is that we do this solely as obedience to the commission to "go and make disciples." All the other stuff is just "bait" to bring people in so they can hear the saving message of Jesus Christ. At UP Church we keep it simple. We try not to do too much, but Easter is always a bit of an exception because of what is at stake and because more people are willing to come to church. For us is not about recycling Christians, but about making new Christians. So the Methods we use might be unconventional because, simply, we aren't trying to reach the religious who already know the church language, we are trying to bring the non-Christians. The message is the same unadulterated Gospel, but the language and method we use to present that message is different! Now is the perfect time to pick out those people that you want to invite to an Easter experience. Prayerfully consider how you can ask someone to attend with you. Pick them up if it’ll help. Invited them to lunch/dinner after. Let this year be the year that you allow yourself to be used by the Holy Spirit to impact someone’s eternity! THIS SUNDAY AT 1:00PM, @ 639 N. 25TH ST. 53233

Thanks for the tip that I should take my friend to church next Easter because they're more likely to say yes. I think knowing that the gospel will be clearly explained is a great reason as to why I should take her to church regardless of the time of the year. Since I really care about her, I know that taking her to one would really grow her faith in Christ so I will consider it.

I totally agree when you said that attending a trendy church and inviting a friend would help plant a seed in a person's life. I think I should invite my best friend once I find a place to go to every Sunday starting this month. It's something that I need at the moment to help me with my struggles, and it seems that she also needs it as well after noticing how her life has been going all over the place.
