Last Sunday we kicked off the new Series, ACTS with a impactful message on the Power of God.

Breakthrough comes from “Dunamis", the miraculous power of God, manifested through Spirit-filled people....us!
Dunamis means “to have the ability to have achieving power or the ability to carry out some function, might, strength, ability, capability, or power to accomplish a task.” That is what we gain when we allow the Holy Spirit to operate in us!

When we allow the power of the Holy Spirit to work in us, we will notice changes in our lives. Even changes in the way we live, the way we spend our time, our attitude towards sin and even our social media habits!

The Holy Spirit is IN you for YOUR sake but He is UPON you for the sake of OTHERS.
(See Ephesians 3:16)

What God is saying to us today is, ‘I have put the Dunamis power in your hands.’

There’s a powerful quote, “Christ has no body now, but yours. Yours are the eyes through which he looks with compassion on this world. Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good. Yours are the hands through who he blesses all the world. Yours are the hands, yours are the feet, yours are the eyes. You are His body...”

The book off Acts shows us where the first church started. They were empowered by the Spirit and went forth to spread a hopeful-filled gospel that would transform the life and hearts of millions of people across hundreds of generations.

We are excited to dive into Acts and into the calling God has on each one of us.

What He Said While in Pain was a powerful series on the death and resurrection of Jesus. Easter, or resurrection Sunday, was the celebration of death’s destruction. Jesus paid the price for our sin, so that we could live freely in Him.

But, have you ever noticed that we don’t EVER think about God very deeply until we start seeing evil around us? Or when evil is done against us? Have you ever noticed that no one ever really pays attention to God, until we get to the point were we are confronted by the difficulties of life?

When pain hits in our lives, we begin to look at God differently than when we were experieincing joy. I think if we were honest, we have all done that a time or two. In fact, we tend to remember God only to demand of him answers!

When sin is commuttted against us, we become heart-broken, we become desilusioned and start saying things like.. “God, if you are God, and can alter everything in my life, why aren’t you altering this situation?

We become angry with God, and place the blame on him!

What we are watching and experiencing in the world becomes the filter we use to look at a good God and begin to distrust him. Saying things like, ‘I can’t trust you God because look at what you are allowing.’ Where’s LIFE when death is so present?

We have to realize, OUR VIEW OF WHO WE ARE WILL ALTER OUR VIEW OF WHO GOD IS.

So, How do you view God? Do you see Him as the risen savior He is even when going through rough times?

Mark Batterson said, “Guilt issues are a misunderstanding of God’s grace. Control issues are a misunderstanding of God’s sovereignty. Anger issues are a misunderstanding of God’s mercy. Pride issues are a misunderstanding of God’s greatness. Trust issues are a misunderstanding of God’s goodness.”

This is so true! God is good, and makes you Good, so you can do good!
