Seeing with the eyes of Christ

Read:  Luke 10:25-37

The parable challenges us to see people through the eyes of Christ. It asks us to look beyond labels and stereotypes and recognize the inherent dignity of every person, no matter their background or circumstances. When we view others as God sees them, we become more attuned to their needs and more willing to bridge divides to extend love.
In today's polarized world, this message is especially relevant. It's easy to become indifferent to those who are different from us or to be selective in who we consider "worthy" of our help. Yet Jesus calls us to a radical form of love that seeks to embrace everyone as our neighbor, even those we might be inclined to overlook or avoid.  ​Luke 10:25-37 challenges us to live out our faith with an active love that crosses boundaries. It reminds us that loving our neighbor means more than just agreeing with the idea—it requires intentional, compassionate action. As we follow Jesus' command to "go and do likewise," we are called to be neighbors to all, embodying God's love in practical ways.
